Modi encouraging RSS for Muslim genocide: governor
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said on Sunday that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a terrorist wing of Bharatiya Janata
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said on Sunday that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a terrorist wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning genocide of Muslims and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is encouraging the inhuman activity.
Talking to the media here on the occasion of departure of Vice President of European Parliament Dr Fabio Massimo Castaldo, who was on a two-day visit to Pakistan, the governor said if the world community did not take notice of the RSS acts, it would be a bigger crime and cruelty towards the Muslim and other minorities in India.
The governor said the Vice President of the European Union has announced he would plead the Kashmiris’ case in the European Parliament which would be a victory of the Kashmiris’ stance.
Dr Fabio Massimo Castaldo, Pak-Europe Friendship Federation Chairman Pervez Iqbal, European Parliament Member Wajid Khan and others were also present.
Ch Sarwar says there will be no bigger crime than silence of UN and human rights organisations over Kashmir situation
The Punjab governor said that European Parliament’s Vice President also promised to expose the controversial law against minorities in India. He said that entire European Parliament would support Pakistan on the issue of GSP-Plus status; therefore, Pakistan would soon have a good news in this regard.
Responding to a question, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Narendra Modi sponsored genocide of Muslims was now coming forth to international media, asserting that there would be no worst crime and cruelty than the silence of the United Nations Organisation (UNO) and human rights organisations over this situation. There had been 147 days of curfew in Occupied Kashmir which was a suppression of human rights. He said Pakistan was raising its voice at all forums and the world community should take notice of it, not tomorrow but today, he added.
The Governor said that Kashmiris must be given their right to self-determination, end to tyrannies against them and lifting of curfew in Occupied Kashmir immediately.
Dr Fabio Massimo said on the occasion that he came to know the facts during his visit to Pakistan and there was no doubt in it that Pakistan Army, Pakistani nation and other security agencies had rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and the world at large should highly value it.
As far as the Kashmir issue and controversial law of India was concerned, he added, it was sheer injustice and barbarism which was posing threat to not only regional but also global peace. “And I will take up both the issues in European Parliament and apprise the world that settlement of Kashmir issue is indispensable for peace, while protection of Indian minorities’ rights is also a responsibility of all of us,” he added.
Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that those hatching conspiracies in the relations between Pakistan and China will never succeed.
He was addressing a seminar on ‘Friends of Silk Route’ organized by Pakistan-China Institute at a local hotel on Saturday. He said both the countries have rock-solid friendship. “China has sided with Pakistan on Kashmir dispute at all forums including FATF,” he said.
He said Pakistan Army’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism are unprecedented in the world. “We have always talked of peace, however, Kashmir dispute will have to be resolved not tomorrow but today and in accordance with the United Nations resolutions,” he maintained.
The governor said that Pakistan and China friendship was not because of any government but of historic relations between the people of the two countries. He said since assuming office of the Prime Minister, Imran Khan has visited China thrice. Undoubtedly, China, Pakistan Economic Corridor is a glaring example of Pak-China friendship as this project is ensuring development of Pakistan as well as creating vast employment opportunities, he added.
Under the CPEC, he mentioned that 1,544 kilometers long roads have so far been constructed and another 1,456 kilometers roads are under construction, while 5,320 mega watts of electricity has been added to the system. Under the CPEC, he continued, nine Special Economic Zones have been established and both the countries have also signed the CPEC Phase-II. He said, China is such a friend of Pakistan that has always stood by Pakistan in difficult time, citing that China has supported Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir and FATF.
