LAHORE –Islami Jamiat Taliba (IJT) activists attacked and brutally tortured a student of Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) for sitting with a female student.
According to details, Messam Abbas, student of second semester, MSc Communication Studies, was sitting with a female student at student teacher centre when some IJT goons reached the spot and started beating him up.
Later on, a number of students of ICS took out a rally against IJT hooliganism. They condemned Jamiat members for this brutal attack and called upon the administration to take stern action against the culprits.
While talking to Daily Times, IJT spokesman denied happening of any such event and said that action will be tacken if any IJT activists will be found involved in torturing of any innocent student.
The PU spokesman said that the administration is trying to identify the matter and disciplinary actions will be taken against the students who are involved in the beating of student.
