GHOTKI: Sindh minister for public health engineering and rural development Fayyaz Ali Butt called for expediting work on development schemes in Ghotki district so that their benefits could be transferred to masses.
During inspection of different ongoing development schemes at Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo and Daharki on Thursday, the provincial minister said that Sindh government was working day and night for welfare of the masses and multiple development projects worth millions of rupees were initiated in Ghotki district to facilitate the public.
On directives of chief minister Sindh he was visiting different areas to take stock of the projects for ensuring their timely completion, the minister said and directed chief engineer public health to personaly monitor the development work as well as progress and quality.
Engineer public health engineering chief Ram Chand briefing the minister informed that a Rs. 360 million water disposal project was under construction in Ghotki that would benefit Anwerabad, Ghota market and Rahmonwali localities, work was in progress on urban drainage scheme in Mirpur Mathelo with estimated cost of Rs. 380 million while work on a Rs.199 million water supply scheme was also continue at Daharki. All the mentioned projects would be commissioned within current year, he added.
